The Picnic Hamper is now open – it’s official!

The new cafe and business lounge on Monument Park has now been officially opened by John Howell MP. Debbie & her team at the Picnic Hamper laid on a fantastic spread of drinks & nibbles and had some great compliments paid about their stylish new home.

We were delighted to see so many guests come for the event, including several leading members of the local community – District & County Councillors, Parish Councillors, representatives from LEADER along with the Jennings team & family, contractors who worked on the conversion of the building and many others who’ve supported the project from the start.

Mike Jennings’ enthusiasm for the project and its impact came across beautifully in his welcome speech, saying that it will not only make a huge difference to people already working here on the Park but also to the wider community and many homeworkers from all the surrounding villages.

John Howell called Mike’s enthusiasm ‘infectious’ and complimented us on the work we do with, and how we get involved with, the local community. John duly cut the red ribbon and officially opened the cafe.
