Two long-established names in Oxfordshire commercial property are strengthening their connections, as part of a drive to boost business.
The network of three TBAC business centres – in East Oxford, Abingdon and Didcot – has a new manager at the helm and has become part of the Jennings family of properties, www.jennings.co.uk
The centres provide small serviced offices and workshops on a monthly all-inclusive licence. Between them they currently have 30 tenant businesses, in offices ranging in size from 120 to 550sq ft. Licences are simple one page documents, and tenants have an option to vacate at any time with only one month’s notice.
Rhonda Leighton is their new manager, taking over from John Waterfield following his retirement. Rhonda says: “I have been amazed at how friendly, interesting and enthusiastic everyone is, and I have plans to enhance our offering so that the businesses in our centres, and those yet to join us, can thrive and grow.”
The three are now called Jennings Business Centres, www.jenningsbusinesscentres.co.uk, and join a commercial property portfolio in South Oxfordshire which includes Monument Park, Chalgrove, and is home to 100 tenants who employ about 650 people between them.
Jennings Director, Mike Jennings, says: “We’re very proud to have been able to contribute to the success of the TBAC Business Centres in recent years, and delighted to have the opportunity to strengthen our links now. It’ll mean Rhonda can draw on the expertise that the Jennings team has built up over 30 years of successfully creating homes for start up and growing business in Oxfordshire.”
A fourth TBAC Business Centre – on Station Lane in Witney – has been transferred to Brendon Cross and Michele Lodge and the centre has been re-named Hexagon Business Centre – the original name of the building. Michele says: “We were delighted to be given the opportunity to carry on John Waterfield’s wonderful work and already we’ve expanded into an adjacent building. Our ethos remains the same as TBAC’s in that we want to provide a supportive environment within which businesses can flourish and prosper.”
