Cafe works are well on the way to completion

Building work on Monument Park’s new cafe started in early August and is on schedule to be finished by December. The cafe will open with seating for around 40 people, including a raised area with soft leather chairs – ideal for informal gatherings, small networking events, surgeries, accessing highspeed broadband on a laptop, or just a relaxing coffee with good company.

The cafe project is an initiative between Jennings and the Picnic Hamper to improve facilities on the Park and also expand our business community into the surrounding rural area, by attracting and supporting homeworkers.

The scheme has been part funded with money from a South Oxfordshire Leader fund, money from the European Union supporting rural initiatives, and has received input from SODC and support from a group of local partners.

In the Winter newsletter there will be details of our ‘official opening’ date and an informal, monthly, business networking group starting up in the New Year called Business Biscotti Chalgrove.
