Tenants meet with deputy leader of the local council
On 10th February a group of tenants joined Mike Jennings and Paul Mabbutt (directors of Jennings) to meet up with David Robertson of Oxfordshire County Council for a lunch and chat at the Red Lion in Chalgrove.
David is Deputy Leader of the Council, and leads on Economic Development. He was interested to meet people who run small businesses face to face, to find out directly what issues affect them, and then take that back to the Council.
There was a lively and open discussion for well over two hours, with topics ranging from - the affects of the recession to recruitment; procurement to compliance. David will return later this year for a follow up meeting with business owners in their own. The lunch with the Council will become an annual event.
