£50k milestone for bulk buying scheme that’s good for the environment

Sarah & ClareThe Jennings Tenant ‘bulk buying stationary scheme’ is being credited with helping the environment and local charities.

Over twenty tenant businesses at Monument Park Chalgrove have signed up to the bulk buying scheme for office supplies. Now in its second year of operation the schemed has topped the £50,000 mark for orders. As a result £2,500 will go to local charities as part of the agreement with suppliers b-line.

Paul Mabbutt, a Director of Jennings, says: “Encouraging our tenant businesses to work together is a very important part of what we do here, and we’re very pleased with the success of this scheme. It helps businesses with their costs – something that’s especially important in challenging economic times. We’re also able to reduce the number of deliveries to the site by getting more tenants signed up with one supplier. That’s good news for the environment, and we’re helping local charities at the same time.”

b-line owner Dave Beesley says: “As a business we are very committed to reducing our own carbon footprint and doing what we can to help our customers to do the same. This makes the Monument Park scheme a win-win. Bulk buying helps the businesses there cut stationery costs; joint deliveries means they are reducing their environmental impact. As a bonus we’re able to set aside some of the savings to help support local charities.”

Clare Sedwell from PJ Consultants, who are tenants in the Hampden House serviced office centre at Monument Park, says: “The prices we receive from being part of the business park stationery scheme are much better than we are able to source independently. Delivery is always prompt and a wide range of products are available. It is great to have such an efficient, reliable service to meet our stationery needs with the added bonus of helping the environment and local charities too.”
